Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which can sufficiently function for use at a high temperature, and has little deterioration by providing a positive electrode, which contains lithium-containing composite oxide storing and discharging lithium ions, and a negative electrode which contains host material storing and discharging lithium ions and cobalt of a specified containing amount. SOLUTION: A positive electrode composite layer, whose constituting element is lithium cobalt composite oxide as positive electrode active material, is formed on a collector of aluminum foil or the like, so as to obtain a positive electrode. Meanwhile, a negative electrode composite layer the host material of which is graphite as negative active material and which contains cobalt of 0.02 to 0.06 percentage by weight preferably, so as to exist on the surface thereof is formed on a collector of copper foil or the like in order to obtain a negative electrode. The positive electrode and the negative electrode are laminated via a separator of a polyethylene fine porous film or the like, and electrolytic solution which is obtained by dissolving electrolyte, such as LiPF6 or the like in mixed organic solvent of ethylene carbonate and diethyl carbonate or the like, is filled therein so as to obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.
