Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle which can make improved sense of the engine noise produced in a low speed range at the generation run. SOLUTION: A hybrid electric vehicle employs a controller 10 with a function which varies the target generated outer of a generator 9, in accordance with a vehicle speed in order to control a generator driving engine 8. Even when the generation run on an uphill road or in the case of the generation run with a heavy load, the target generated output is set to be small so as to obtain the engine noise which matches with low-vehicle speed region.
