Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly cold-spray mass spectroscope, with which temperature control of nebulizing gas is easy. SOLUTION: An operator sets temperature t of a heater block 9 at, for instance, -80 deg.C, by adjusting length of a gas tube 10 dipped in liquid nitrogen 22 while watching a temperature display part 15. Here, temperature T of nebulizing gas at an exit of a sheath tube 4 is found to be -43 deg.C from a previously acquired temperature table. Then, the operator turns on power of a heater 12, finds out the temperature t of the heater block 9 to be -5 deg.C from the temperature table, when the wishes to set the nebulizing gas temperature T at, for instance, -10 deg.C. Next, the operator adjusts a heater adjustment knob 16 looking at the temperature display part 15, to set the temperature t of the heater block 9 at -5 deg.C.
