Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file data reading device capable of shortening a reading period of a file data. SOLUTION: A CPU refers to a RAM when a reading request of the file data on a hard disk (step S3) is issued. When a continuous flag is set to an information table and an address of each cluster constituting a file is 'continuous' (step S5, 'YES'), the CPU determines an access address based on the top address of the file and reads data (step S6). When the continuous flag is reset and the address of each cluster is 'discontinuous' (step S5, 'NO'), the CPU determines an access address based on the top address and in reference to a FAT on the hard disk as necessary, and reads data (step S13).
