Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root canal filler and a root canal filling system allowing the root canal filler to be instantaneously hardened in a root canal without being decomposed and absorbed by a tissue fluid around a root tip, easily adjusting the root canal filling depth without the root canal filler projecting from the root tip or forming a dead void and completely blocking the root tip and a root canal wall by the adhesion of the root canal filler and dentine in the root canal. SOLUTION: A prism part provided at one end with a converging resin for converging light such as visible light emitted from a light source, or ultraviolet rays, and a point part formed of fiber-like optical diffusion resin with moderate elasticity suitable for a root canal formed at the other end of the prism part, are connected in a shifting manner in a funnel- shaped master point. When the point part of the master point is inserted into the root tip part of the root canal to project the visible light or ultraviolet rays to the small opening of the prism part, the fiber-like point part formed of the photo diffusion resin uniformly emit light. The photo-curing resin dentine adhesive applied beforehand to the internal wall of the root canal, and the photo-curing resin filled in the root canal can thereby the photocured, and the root canal can be physically and chemically blocked without making a monomer remain.
