Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device for a front and rear wheel drive vehicle capable of keeping the speed difference between front and rear wheels during a charge mode in a suitable range according to a road surface condition and the traveling state of the vehicle and of thereby securing the traveling stability of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This device is provided with: first and second driven wheel speed detection means 12, 12 for respectively detecting the speeds N-FL and N-FR of first driven wheels WFL and WFR driven by a first prime motor 3 and the speeds N-RL and N-RR of second driven wheels WRL and WRR driven by a second prime motor 4; a driven wheel speed comparison means 11 for comparing the first and second driven wheel speeds; and a driving energy charge amount limiting means 11 for limiting the charge amount FCMD-MOT of the driving energy for charging the driving source 7 of the second prime motor 4 when it is determined that the second driven wheel speed is lowered more than the first driven wheel speed by a predetermined value CHRG-Slip- ratio or more during the charge mode.
