Abstract:

To provide a solid polymer type fuel cell capable of providing excellent durability by graphatizing a carrier, and of providing excellent power generation performance by controlling fine pores in an electrode catalyst layer.

The average lattice spacing d002of the [002] surface, the specific surface area thereof and the bulk density thereof are set to 0.338-0.355 nm, 80-250 m2/g and 0.30-0.45 g/ml, respectively; and the volume of 0.01-2.0 μm fine pores in the electrode catalyst layer and the volume of 0.01-0.15 μm fine pores therein are so controlled as to be set above 3.8 μl/cm2/mg-Pt and above 2.0 μl/cm2/mg-Pt, respectively.
