To provide a pressure equalizing cushion pin for die cushions which does not necessitate a large-scale hydraulic circuit for equalizing the pressure of the cushion and is constituted at a low cost, a die cushion using the same, a press using the same and press-forming method by equalizing the pressure of the cushion pin.

In the cushion pin which is threaded through the bolster (54) of the press, the lower end of which is provided on the die cushion (59) through a die cushion pad (60) and the top end of which holds a work directly or through a blank holder (56), this cushion pin is provided with an elastic member (6) for generating energizing force in the axial direction and enables the hold of the work with this elastic member (6). The press forming is performed by absorbing the variation in the position of the end part of the cushion pin (1) by the contraction of the elastic member (6) provided on each of a plurality of cushion pins (1) and equalizing the transfer pressure in the axial direction of each cushion pin (1).
