To realize an information providing device which improves operability concerning music.

The information providing device has a music storage medium 111 where music is stored, a 1st communication means 101 which receives text information, a sound synthesis part 149 which converts the text information received by the 1st communication means 101 into sound information, an output part 141 which outputs music information and sound information, an operation means of operating the output of the music information and sound information, and a control part 146 which controls the output of the music information and sound information according to the operation of the operation means. After the sound information ends, a return to the sound information is made by a "return" operation by the operation means during the output of 1st starting music information, and a "next" or "return" operation by the operation means during the output of 2nd music information and later after the 1st music information is effective to only music information.
