Abstract:

To improve fuel consumption.

At least an action for increasing engine rotation speed NE or an action for assisting a motor M is executed, and a gear ratio of a continuous variable transmission CVT is determined on the basis of cylinder halt upper limit torque TQECS and motor assist torque TQFMOT, in forbidding execution of cylinder halt operation or release of cylinder halt operation under execution. When the charging of battery is necessary during execution of cylinder halt operation, the engine rotation speed NE is increased, further the cylinder halt upper limit torque TQECS is increased in response to the engine rotation speed NE, power generation in the motor M is executed by output of an internal combustion engine E, and a value obtained by adding torque demand for power generation TQGEN to torque of power plant corresponding to the power plant request output PPREQ, is determined to be a value of the cylinder halt upper limit torque TQECS or less.
