To provide a method for producing metallic beryllium, which is different from the conventional producing method, so as to widen a range of metallic beryllium materials to be selected; a method for producing metallic beryllium containing little sulfur; and metallic beryllium and a beryllium window, which are suitable for analyzing a sulfur content with high accuracy.
The apparatus 1 for producing metallic beryllium comprises: a vessel 2 for holding a liquid 3 containing a beryllium complex; an irradiating means 4 for irradiating the liquid 3 with electromagnetic waves; a substrate-attaching section for holding the substrate 6 in the liquid 3; and a reducing agent-supplying means 9 for supplying a reducing agent into the liquid 3.
