To repair troubled media or issue new media without customers having to bring the media to a window if the media that customers have inserted into a consumer transaction facility cannot be handled normally.
A center that performs media restoration processes in cooperation with a customer transaction facility is provided to remotely perform all the media restoration processes such as determining the cause of trouble and instructing the consumer transaction facility how to deal. The consumer transaction facility includes a means for acquiring the overall image of the media, a means for sending the information acquired to the center, and a means for restoring the media or issuing new media according to the center's instructions on how to deal.
