Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe for near field light reconciling high resolution and high sensitivity and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: A carbon nanotube 22 containing luminescent particles 21 emitting light by excitation is held at the tip of the probe 30, and the side of the carbon nanotube 22 is covered with a shielding layer 24. The luminescent particles 21 are excited by light transmitted to the nanotube 22 to emit the near field light.
