To provide a battery terminal which does not have the chatter of a bracket, has good manufacturing nature of a battery terminal body, and further assures mounting at a battery post.
A bracket for constituting the clamping means 23 of the battery terminal 21 includes an upper bracket 34 mounted from above a pair of clamping parts 25, 25 and a lower bracket 35 mounted from below the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25. A taper 39 which slidably contacts the upper ends 41 of the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25 is formed at the upper bracket 34, and a taper 45 which slidably contacts lower ends 47 of the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25 is formed at the lower bracket 35. In addition, either of the upper bracket 34 and the lower bracket 35 is formed in a shape to be inserted into the other.
