Abstract:

To provide a dry purification method of a thermally cracked gas, capable of preventing formation of environmentally harmful substances, such as dioxins, at a low cost and simultaneously capable of being usefully applied to treating technology, etc., of a waste material for the purpose of conducting high efficient electric power generation.

This method comprises leading the thermally cracked gas of the waste material to a heat recovery unit (a heat exchanger filled with an adsorbent comprising a porous material) positioned at an outlet of a thermal cracking furnace, and removing a condensed high-boiling component/tarry material by making a porous material adsorb the component/material, while lowering a temperature of the gas to an operation temperature (preferably not higher than 180°C) of a dust collector. Further, the porous material which has adsorbed the high-boiling component/tarry material is burnted in a reclaiming unit together with char formed in the thermal cracking furnace to be reclaimed, and the formed combustion exhaust gas is led to the thermal cracking furnace and used as a heat source for the thermal cracking furnace. Furthermore, the thermally cracked gas discharged from the heat recovery unit is led to the dust collector, and then fly ash comprising fine particles is separated from the thermally cracked gas, so that a gas suitable as a clean fuel is obtained from the cracked gas.
