To provide a disk cartridge which can move to a loading part of a recording and/or playback apparatus while being more accurately guided.
The disk cartridge is provided with a cartridge main body 2, a rotation wheel 4 housed rotatably in the cartridge main body 2, and a pair of shutter plates 5a, 5b which are positioned between a lower shell 7 and the rotation wheel 4 and open a first opening part 24 of the lower shell 7 and a second opening part 44 of the rotation wheel 4 when the first opening part 24 coincides with the second opening part 44 in association with the rotation of the rotation wheel 4. The first shutter plate 5a is attached turnably to the cartridge main body 2 and turned by rotation of the rotation wheel 4, the second shutter plate 5b is attached turnably to the first shutter plate 5a and turned by rotation of the first shutter plate 5a. Insertion guide grooves 25a, 25b are formed at both sides of the bottom face of the cartridge main body 2, each of the grooves 25a, 25b opens a front face of the cartridge main body 2 being an insertion end for the recording and/or reproducing apparatus and opens a bottom face of the cartridge main body 2 and is extended to the back side from the front face of the cartridge main body 2 .
