Title:
微生物による水溶液中からのプルトニウムおよびウランの逐次分離法
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4654406
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sequentially separate plutonium and uranium from aqueous solutions such as Pu-U containing high level radioactive waste solutions generated in a wet retreatment stage for used nuclear fuel in a nuclear power furnace, experimental waste solutions contaminated by Pu and U and radioactive waste solutions such as environmental water. SOLUTION: Pu(VI) in a highly acidic solution (pH of 0 to 1.5) is selectively reduced by using microorganisms such as Bacilli genus reducing hexavalent plutonium [Pu(VI)] to pentavalent plutonium [Pu(V)] without reducing U(VI) therein. Successively, tetravalent plutonium [Pu(IV)] generated by the dismutation of Pu(V) is adsorbed on the microorganisms from the inside of the acidic solution to selectively separate Pu(VI) from U(VI).
