To provide a pavement structure easy to walk on, matching with the environment, and excellent in workability and economic efficiency, using wood materials made of crushed tree core materials or barks.
Over a ground 1 leveled and compacted, is laid the mixed layer 2 of wood materials made of crushed tree core materials or barks, sands with adjusted grain size distribution, and dry and powdered clay, preferably bentnite. The work method for preparing the mixed layer 2 is that wood materials, sands and powdered clay are laid over the ground 1 in this order, then they are mixed and agitated and then rolled by a roller while sprinkling water in order to obtain a flat pavement surface with moderate hardness. This work execution method is simple and can cut off the construction period and cost. The pavement surface can have moderate hardness for easy walk or running if sands are mixed in the wood materials, and further a soft and stable mixed layer can be obtained if clay is added in the layer for ensuring its moderate water retaining capacity and adhesion among the wood materials.
