Abstract:

To provide an exhaust gas treatment method in an electric furnace for steel making and the like, capable of efficiently eliminating an organic chlorine compound including dioxin from the exhaust gas, in the treatment method of the exhaust gas of the electric furnace for steel making, or the exhaust gas (exhaust) of a building provided with the electric furnace for steel making.

This exhaust gas treatment method comprises a first process for eliminating ash dust in the exhaust gas 11 at 100-200°C by a filter-type dust collector 17, a second process for adsorbing the organic chlorine compound in the exhaust gas 11 by granular activated carbon in an activated carbon cartridge 2 mounted in an activated carbon adsorbing device 18 after the first process, and a third process for charging the activated carbon cartridge 2 to the electric furnace for steel making in a state that the granular activated carbon is filled, after the first and second processes for a prescribed period.
