To reconstruct a tomogram with high image quality while mixing X-ray projection data of different X-ray detector apertures in a conventional scan (axial scan), a cine scan or a helical scan of an X-ray CT apparatus having multi-row X-ray detectors or two-dimensional X-ray area detectors with matrix structure represented by a flat-panel X-ray detector.
When there are a plurality of X-ray projection data passing through some pixels of a tomogram and the areas of the X-ray detector apertures of the respective X-ray projection data are different, this X-ray CT apparatus can provide the tomogram with high image quality by multiplying each of the X-ray projection data by a weighted coefficient proportional to the area ratio of the X-ray detector apertures, reconstructing a three-dimensional image, and executing the conventional scan (axial scan), the cine scan or the helical scan in the X-ray CT apparatus having the multi-row X-ray detectors or the two-dimensional X-ray area detectors with matrix structure represented by the flat-panel X-ray detector.
