Abstract:

To provide a stable secondary battery which has high energy density and high power output, and less capacity reduction even after repetition of charge and discharge.

In the secondary battery that can be charged and discharged and is equipped with a positive electrode layer 2 and a negative electrode layer 4, such a positive electrode layer 2 is constituted by using a metal complex cluster as a positive electrode active material in which transition metal atoms are aggregated via a ligand, and this is mixed with carbon material.
