To provide an imaging apparatus effectively performing high-reliability correction of image data.

In the imaging apparatus 100 includes an imaging section 120, including an output gate 1021 for outputting charge generated by a photodetector and an image data output section 121, which converts into a digital signal an electric signal generated by converting the charge output by the output gate 1021 and outputs the digital signal to a memory as image data; and a controller 104 for controlling the imaging section 120, the controller 104 stops outputting the charge from the output gate 1021 and stores the image data which are output from the image data output section 121, in a state where the output of charge from the output gate 1021 is stopped, into a memory 108 as correction data of the image data output from the image data output section 121, in a state where the output gate 1021 outputs charge.
