Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering glycol or glycol aqueous solution from a used aqueous medium containing glycol and a water-soluble polymer in view of saving energy, environment protection and effective use of components.SOLUTION: The method for recovering glycol or glycol aqueous solution includes a step for obtaining distillate by removing mainly the water-soluble polymer as the residue from the aqueous medium containing at least water, glycols, an ionic component and the water-soluble polymer by distillation; and a step for electrophoresing and removing the ionic component in the components from the distillate by electrodialysis using an ion exchange membrane.
