Abstract:
The present invention has advantageous effects not only in that the processes of coagulation and ageing can be carried out in a single process by employing a polymer-latex-resin-powder producing device having a structure in which the coagulation tank and the ageing tank are incorporated into an integrated type of reactor, comprising a novel design of structure in which the ratio of the length to the diameter of the reaction vessel is from 5 to 20, but also in that, by effecting the coagulation using steam and a coagulant in only a small amount in a state having a high solid fraction during slurry production, the amount of steam used to raise the temperature is low and energy costs can be cut, and a slurry can be obtained which has a low water content and a small fines content, and the water content of the polymer latex slurry can be adjusted, and the apparent specific gravity can be adjusted, by applying additional mechanical force.
