Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module, an apparatus for averaging a state of charge, and a method of connecting the battery module to a battery system capable of performing a simple, safe, and proper connection by automatically matching a state of charge of an existing connected battery module with a state of charge of a new battery module to be connected, when connecting the new battery module to be connected in parallel to the battery system.SOLUTION: The battery module comprises: a unit voltage measuring circuit 1 for measuring a state of charge of a battery pack C; a total voltage measuring circuit 2 for measuring a state of charge of existing connected battery modules EM connected in parallel; a main connection unit 3 for connecting the battery pack C to a battery system S; a discharging connection unit 4 for discharging current of the battery pack C to the existing connected battery modules EM; a charging connection unit 5 for charging current of the existing connected battery modules EM to the battery pack C; and an MPU (Micro Processing Unit) 6 for performing a switching control on either the main connection unit 3, the discharging connection unit 4, or the charging connection unit 5 based on information on the state of charge of the battery pack C and information on the state of charge of the existing connected battery modules EM.
