Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauge for a vehicle in which a slit 4 is formed in a boss cap 3 provided at the rotation center of a pointer 1 and which has high rigidity, in which the boss cap 3 is less likely to be deformed, and abnormal sound is not generated from the boss cap 3 associated with rotation of the pointer, irrespective of formation of the slit 4.SOLUTION: A slit 4 is provided in a surface of a boss cap 3, and a pointer 1 has a light transmissive pointer base part 5. The pointer base part 5 is housed in the boss cap 3, and a part thereof is inserted into the slit 4 to form an inserted projection part 6. A positioning projection part 3e is pressed between a surface of the pointer base part 5 and a surface of a front wall part 3a of the boss cap 3. Since the front wall part 3a of the boss cap 3 is deformed by pressure of the positioning projection part 3e when assembled, rigidity of the boss cap 3 around the positioning projection part 3e can be improved and generation of abnormal sound can be suppressed irrespective of formation of the slit 4.
