Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery element capable of being easily manufactured, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A solar battery element includes: a polycrystalline silicon substrate including a front face and a back face of the front face, and having one conductivity type in which a longitudinal direction of crystal grains is substantially perpendicular to a thickness direction of the substrate; an intrinsic first thin-film layer on the back face of the polycrystalline silicon substrate; a second thin-film layer exhibiting a reverse conductive type and a first electrode on the first thin-film layer in a first region on the back face of the polycrystalline silicon substrate; and a first diffusion layer exhibiting one conductivity type and a second electrode in a second region on the back face of the polycrystalline silicon substrate.
