Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode with a multilayer structure, capable of materializing high battery capacitance while maintaining high charge and discharge efficiency and satisfactory cycle characteristics in a lithium secondary battery, and to provide a simple method of manufacturing the negative electrode.SOLUTION: A first active material layer 2a having a carbon material as a main component, and a second layer 3a to which metal based active material particles are bound by a binder are laminated on a copper foil 1a serving as a collector. The second layer 3a is formed by dispersing at least one or more among particles of a metal selected from a group of Si, Ge, Sn, In and Pb, alloy particles, and metal oxide particles in a solution obtained by dissolving the binder in a solvent, applying the coating liquid, and drying it.
