Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an acceleration response in the case of acceleration from a low supercharge state and to also suppress temporary increase in a NOx exhaust amount as further as possible.SOLUTION: An exhaust pressure accumulation apparatus to be applied to an engine 1 provided with a turbo charger 2 includes: a gas collection tank 14 which accumulates exhaust gas 8; a gas introduction pipe 15 which takes a part of the exhaust gas 8 from an exhaust manifold 9 into the gas collection tank 14; a gas discharge pipe 16 which discharges the exhaust gas 8 from the gas collection tank 14 to an inlet of a turbine 2b of the turbo charger 2; and a gas discharge pipe 17 which discharges the exhaust gas 8 from the gas collection tank 14 to an intake manifold 6. In a high-pressure operation area of the exhaust manifold 9, the exhaust gas 8 is taken through the gas introduction pipe 15 into the gas collection tank 14 and accumulated. In the case of acceleration, any one of the gas discharge pipes 16, 17 is selected in accordance with a temperature inside the gas collection tank 14, and the exhaust gas 8 is discharged from the gas collection tank 14.
