Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine, which accommodates various types of fuels, capable of restraining vibration and improving properties of exhaust emissions.SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes: a main fuel system that is mechanically controlled to supply main fuel; a sub fuel system that is electrically controlled to supply sub fuel; and a fuel injection valve 26 that is installed on the main fuel system and the sub fuel system in common and injects the main fuel and the sub fuel into cylinders. Injection of the main fuel and injection of the sub fuel are performed at a different timing from each other.
