Abstract:
Preparing folded prothrombin or its derivatives, comprises solubilizing inclusion bodies containing unfolded prothrombin or its derivatives in a solubilization buffer comprising at least a chaotropic compound and at least an organic disulfide compound. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for producing thrombin and/or alpha -thrombin or its derivatives, comprising converting a renatured prothrombin obtained by the above process by enzymatic proteolysis with ecarin to thrombin and/or alpha -thrombin or its derivatives; and (2) a solution containing prothrombin, folded thrombin and/or folded alpha -thrombin or their derivatives, obtained by the above process.
