Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus and a printing system having a high possibility to perform recovery printing when an error occurs during a printing operation.SOLUTION: The printer 100 is configured to, when the error is detected during the first print data printing process, suspend the printing operation, and store the page number of the suspended print data. After the release from the error, a blank sheet as an alternative sheet corresponding to the page of the suspended print data is conveyed, then, the printing operation with respect to the remaining pages of the print data is restarted. Next, an instruction to set the printed objects in a predetermined feeding section is given, and further, second print data same as the first print data are acquired. Then, the recovery processing to print the second print data are performed by using the sheet set in the feeding section. During the recovery processing, the print data corresponding to the stored page number is printed, but the print data other than those are not printed.
