Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of improving the repeating range accuracy by suppressing the variation in calculated ranges of measurement without reducing the effective pixel number and frame rate in a range image generation device using a light time-of-flight type range image sensor.SOLUTION: A range image generation device corrects an amount of electric charges (electric charge amount) accumulated in each electric charge accumulation part being a source of range value calculation. The correction is performed by using an intermediate value calculated form the maximum value and the minimum value of the electric charge amount of a predetermined number of latest frames. The range image generation device decides a correction amount so as to approximate the intermediate value and increase the correction amount for a spot where the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value is large, and performs correction by using the correction amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
