Abstract:
Provided is an alkali-free glass having a small coefficient of thermal expansion, a high strain point, and low viscosity. When the low temperature reaches T2, the viscosity of the alkali-free glass reaches 102 dPa.s. The alkali-free glass has a strain point of 695 DEG C or more, and an average thermal expansion coefficient of 43*10 <-7>/DEG C or less at 50-350 DEG C. When the temperature is T2 (lower than 1690 DEG C), the glass viscosity reaches 102 dPa.s. Based on the mole% of the oxides, the glass comprises 63-70 mole% of SiO2, 8-16 mole% of Al2O3, 1.5-4 (not inclusive) mole% of B2O3, 0-8 mole% of MgO, 0-20 mole% of CaO, 1.5-10 mole% of SrO, and 0-0.5 mole% of of BaO, wherein the total mole% of MgO and CaO is 0-28, the total mole% of MgO, CaO, SrO, and BaO is 12-30, the ratio of SrO/CaO is 0.33-0.85, and (23.5*[SiO2]+3.5*[Al2O3]-5*[B2O3])/(2.1*[MgO]+4.2*[CaO]+10*[SrO]+12*[BaO]) is 17 or more.
