Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot forging steel excellent in machinability and hardly generating pseudo pattern during a magnetic powder testing.SOLUTION: The hot forging steel is adopted that contains C:over 0.30% to less than 0.60%, Si:0.10 to 0.90%, Mn:0.50 to 2.00%, S:0.010 to 0.100%, Cr:0.01 to 1.00%, Ti:0.001 to less than 0.040%, Al:over 0.005 to 0.100%, N:0.0030 to 0.0200% and Bi:over 0.0001 to 0.0050%, one or two kind of Sb and Sn: 0.0001 to 0.0050%, P:0.050% or less, O:0.0050% or less and the balance Fe with impurities, and that satisfies the following formula (1) and has an existing density of Mn with an equivalent circle diameter of less than 2 μm in a cross section in parallel to a rolling direction of a steel material of 300/mmor more. d+3σ<20....(1). d in the formula (1) is average equivalent circle diameter of MnS with equivalent circle diameter of 1 μm or more and σ is standard deviation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
