Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of burr.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a different material joint member by joining two or more members by use of a rivet. A rivet 13 has a head 21, a shank 22 of which one end is connected to the head 21, and a groove part 24 which is formed on a face of the head 21 which is directed to the shank 22 side. The head 21 is brought into contact with a first member 11 while pressure-energizing the rivet 13, and to a position at which a tip of the shank 22 projects from the first member 11, the shank 22 is inserted in the first member 11 while flowing the thermally softened or dissolved first member 11 into the groove part 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
