Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a test method for identifying ESBL-producing Escherichia coli B2-ST131 clones, characterized by detecting a mutation of amino acid 34 to alanine in an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 among the amino acid sequences constituting part of the YahO protein. The present invention also pertains to a polynucleotide or antibody for detecting the mutation of amino acid 34 to alanine, a reagent composition containing either the polynucleotide or the antibody, and a reagent kit containing the reagent composition. Furthermore, the present invention pertains to a biomarker for identifying Escherichia coli B2-ST131 clones.
