Abstract:
To provide a label location device for a map image, which can surely display a label relating to a polygon displayed in a map image display screen.SOLUTION: A label location device for a map image comprises: a representative point priority area definition unit 112 which defines an arbitrarily designated area as a representative point priority area where a label should be displayed in a coordinate position of a representative point of a polygon; and a tile division unit 111 which preliminarily divides a map image display screen into equal tiles. If the coordinate position of the representative point of the polygon at least a part of which is displayed in the display screen does not exist within the representative point priority area, tiles of which the coordinate positions of center points exist outside the representative point priority area are extracted from the divided equal tiles, and a tile of which the coordinate position of the center point is closest to the coordinate position of the representative point of the polygon is selected as a selection tile from the extracted tiles, and a display position of the label to be given to the polygon is determined so that the center position of the label is located in the coordinate position of the center point of the selection tile.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
