Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an encoded document in which an encoded image never overlaps with a fold without increase in the number of pages of the encoded document and productivity reduction.SOLUTION: When a determination part 102 determines that an encoded image obtained by encoding a document image spreads across a folding of a sheet, a region calculation part 103 calculates a folding region being a predetermined region including a fold, on the basis of folding information. Then, a compressibility setting part 104 sets to a page identical to the document image the lowest compressibility in compressibilities which make it possible to print the encoded document image in an image printing region other than the folding region calculated by the region calculation part 103. A compression part 105 divides and compresses the document image while avoiding overlapping with the folding region, with the compressibility set by the compressibility setting part 104. An encoding part 106 encodes the document image compressed by the compression part 105.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
