Abstract:
To provide a vehicular brake shoe capable of preventing grease and other dirt from adhering to both end parts and a side surface of the brake shoe, and capable of efficiently removing adhered grease without expanding dirt, upon wiping away the adhered grease with a waste or the like.SOLUTION: A vehicular brake shoe 1 slidably contacts with a wheel tread of a railway vehicle to brake a wheel, wherein on at least both end parts 6a, 6b and a side surface 5 of a brake shoe body 2, a cured water-repellent and oil-repellent coating film is formed. It is preferable that in a width direction of a center part of the brake shoe body 2, a groove part 7 is formed, and on both side walls 7a, 7b of the groove part 7, the water-repellent and oil-repellent coating film is also formed. The water-repellent and oil-repellent coating film is preferably coated with a coating containing fluorine resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
