Abstract:
To provide novel polypeptides.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a polypeptide having 80% or more identity to one of the amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOs: 1-4, where an amino acid corresponding to leucine at position 287 (in the case of amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs: 1-3) or at position 286 (in the case of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4) is substituted by isoleucine or alanine, and the polypeptide exhibits improved cholesterol esterase activity as compared with the activity before substitution.SELECTED DRAWING: None
