Abstract:
To improve printing accuracy in printing on a planar material to be printed, which is conveyed at high speed, by solving such a problem that, when an ink droplet ejected from a front edge of a head pass through entrained flow, the ink droplet is apt to flow in a conveying direction by receiving a force in the conveying direction of the material to be printed, and thereby, a position where the ink adheres to the surface of the material to be printed is liable to be unstable.SOLUTION: A printing system 1 is provided that comprises: an ink jet printing apparatus 100 having a head 110 ejecting ink droplets to a surface of a planar material to be printed, which is conveyed at high speed; and a suppression mechanism 200 suppressing entrained flow 80 formed on the surface of the material to be printed. The suppression mechanism may include an abutment member 210 that is disposed on the upstream side of the head in a conveying direction of the material to be printed and abuts on the entrained flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
