Japanese Patent JPS5514009
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1321142 Spacing bottles on endless conveyers E P REMY & CIE 19 April 1971 [3 June 1970] 22520/71 Heading B8A A device for grouping objects such as bottles, for use in conjunction with gripping heads 11 (moving at a speed V) of an encasing or uncasing machine, has an endless conveyer 21 (moving at a speed V 1 , which is greater than V), a guiding device 30 and a selecting means such as the device 40a or 40b. The guiding device 30 moves at the same speed V as the gripping heads 11 and the selecting means at a speed v which is less than V 1 (the speed of conveyer 21) and related to the speed V of the heads 11 and device 30 according to the formula v=V l#L, where L is the pitch of stops 33 of the device 30 and equally the pitch of the gripping heads 11, and l is the pitch of stops 43a of the selecting means. Where D = the diameter of a bottle, and the pitch of the selecting device 40a = la, the device 40a, which acts as a brake on the flow of bottles, will select groups of n bottles, n being chosen as an integer and equal to la/D. The device 40b has different dimensions allowing for different diameter bottles. The conveyer 21 consists of three separate elements (22), Fig. 3 (not shown), which are positioned in accordance with the rows of gripping members on the gripping heads. The elements consist of blade members (220) mounted on rails (221), Fig. 5 (not shown). The positioning is by means of a bar (26) having flat portions (26a, 26b) and the elements are locked in position by a second bar (27), Fig. 3 (not shown). The stops 33 are detachably and rotatably mounted on an axle 301 attached to chains 31, and are attached to a rod 305 through a forked member 302. The driving shaft 35a is driven through a mechanism (310), Fig. 10 (not shown), which allows the position of the chains 31 to be adjusted relative to the driving pinion (311).
