PURPOSE: A polyolefin resin composition improved in transparency, mold shrinkage and antistatic property, obtained by adding a dibenzylidenesorbitol derivative to a homopolymer or copolymer of an aliphatic mono-olefin.

CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising at least one homopolymer or copolymer of an aliphatic mono-olefin and a dibenzylidenesorbitol derivative of the formula (wherein R and R' are each H, Cl, 1W3C alkyl, alkoxy having a 1W3C alkyl moiety), wherein the content of said dibenzylidenesorbitol is 0.05W2wt%. As the polyolefins, mention can be made of polypropylene homopolymers, propylene/ethylene copolymers, linear polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, etc. As the dibenzylidenesorbitol derivatives, mention can be made of 1,3-p-chlorobenzylidene-2,4-p-methylbenzylidenesorbitol, etc.
