PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding an epoxy resin to a resin prepared by copolymerization of monomers bearing tertiary amino groups and carboxyls in the presence of a specific polyester resin, thus being cold curable and slowing good pigment dispersion.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester-modified vinyl copolymer, which is prepared by copolymerization of (A) 1W30pts.wt. of a monomer bearing tertiary amino groups such as N,N-idimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, (B) 1W30pts. of a carboxyl-containing monomer such as acrylic acid and (C) 0W9.75pts. of monomer copolymerizable with monomers A and B such as methyl methacrylate in the presence of (D) 0.5W40pts. of a polyester resin that contains 5W60wt% oil or fatty acid component such as palm oil fatty acid, has an iodine value of 0.2W 200 and shows 0.5W200 poise viscosity at 25°C and 0.5W20 acid value, when it is diluted with xylene to 59W61wt% solid content, is combined with an epoxy compound such as sorbitol polyglycidyl ether to give the objective composition.
