PURPOSE: To obtain a video signal from a reproduced chromivance signal and a luminance signal obtained by eliminating jitter and a crosstalk signal from a reproduced low frequency conversion chrominance signal at a comb type filter and interleaving the resulting signal with the reproduced low frequency conversion chrominance signal of adjacent tracks.

CONSTITUTION: A reproduced low frequency conversion chrominance signal S2 separated at an LPF10 from a reproduced color video signal S1 reproduced at a video head 8 is processed to a prescribed level at an ACC11 for input. The phase of the signal S2 is inverted in response to an inverting pulse f at a phase inverter 22, and the inverted part is restored at recording and outputted to a comb type filter 23, which eliminates the jitter and crosstalk signal of the S2 inputted to an input terminal 23a and outputs them to an output terminal 23b. The outputted signal S2 is inputted to a phase inverter 24 and a frequency converter 12. A phase inverter 24 inverts the S2 according to the f of an APC/ AFC25 and outputs the result to a mixer 16', where the signal S2 is mixed with a luminance signal S3.
