Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a number of part items and assembly labor hours and perform cost down, by constituting a carburetor such that a starting device and accelerating device are combined in use by a single valve chamber and slide valve. CONSTITUTION:A slide valve 9 is inserted into a cylindrical valve chamber 8 formed to a carburetor main unit 1 to divide the inside of the chamber 8 into a compression chamber 8A as an accelerating pump chamber and an atmospheric air chamber 8B. An acceleration fuel delivery passage 12, connected with one end into an intake passage 2 through an accelerating nozzle 10 and arranged with a delivery side check valve 11 in the inside, and a fuel passage 14 communicated with one end to a float chamber 3 below a fixed liquid level are opened to the chamber 8A. While a starting air passage 18 and a starting mixture passage 16, one end of which is communicated to the passage 2 in the downstream of a throttle valve 6, are opened to a sliding part 8c of the valve 9. Then an opening and closing valve 21, adapted to a pressing lever 15 at lowering of the valve 9 and opened, is provided to the valve 9, and each passage 16, 18, 19, 22 is communicated at lowering by operation of a starting control part 27a.
