Abstract:
A power conversion device (10) is provided with: a converter unit (102); a smoothing capacitor (104); an inverter unit (107); a discharge circuit (111) which discharges a charge stored in the smoothing capacitor (104) when a motor (108) is stopped; a voltage measuring unit (103) which measures a voltage between bus lines to which the smoothing capacitor (104) is connected, as a bus line voltage value; and a discharge control device (20) which controls the discharge by the discharge circuit (111). The discharge control device (20) determines whether the discharge is in abnormal state on the basis of the bus line voltage value. As long as the discharge is determined to be in normal state, the discharge control device (20) repeats a process for causing the discharge circuit (111) to discharge only for x seconds, and a process for determining per time T whether the discharge is in abnormal state. When the bus line voltage value reaches a target value, or if it is determined that the discharge is in abnormal state, the discharge control device (20) causes the discharge circuit (111) to stop the discharge.
