Abstract:
An information acquisition unit (110c) in a system control device (110) acquires the operation states of processing units (SB11 to 14, SB21 to 24) in casings (11, 12) and calculates the average CPU usage rates of the processing units to determine whether a disconnection of the processing units is possible or not. As a result of the determination, when a disconnection of hardware resources is possible, a power control determination unit (110b) calculates a combination of the hardware resources to be disconnected and, if there is a pattern in which the disconnection is possible on a per chassis basis, disconnects a chassis at a time. The disconnection on a per chassis basis not only reduces the power consumption of the processing units themselves, but also stops equipment provided on a per chassis basis, such as a cooling fan, a power supply device, a crossbar, and the like, thereby effectively reducing the power consumption.
