Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-cycle engine capable of cooling a piston crown.SOLUTION: At least one through hole 36 penetrating through a peripheral wall portion 31, is formed on the peripheral wall portion 31 of a piston 4, and a cylinder 2 is provided with at least one scavenging passage 14, 16 having a first opening portion 21, 22 opened to a bore face 3a and communicating a bore portion 3 and a crank chamber 6a, and at least one communication passage 40, 40A, 40B having a second opening portion 41 opened to the bore face 3a at the other side of the first opening portion 21, 22 and communicating the bore portion 3 and the scavenging passage 14, 16. The second opening portion 41 is disposed on a position corresponding to the through hole 36 of the piston 4 in the circumferential direction of the bore portion 3, and the through hole 36 is overlapped to the second opening portion 41 and communicated with the communication passage 40, 40A, 40B at least at a part of sections in a scavenging stroke in which the first opening portion 21, 22 is opened to the bore face 3a at one side of the piston in accordance with reciprocation of the piston 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
